Is a flashing airbag light a full or free visual NCT retest?

    Hi,

I currently have a flashing airbag light that the garage says needs parts that take two weeks to order. My NCT is due two weeks from today. If I bring it in now and only fail on the airbag light, will it require a full retest or just a free visual? If its a free retest I might aswell just bring it in to hurry the process up.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks but that doesn't really answer my question. If I reschedule then I need to wait until the problem is fixed and then be at the mercy of the NCT availability meaning I'd be longer without my car.

Had the opposite on my last car - airbag light was on constantly.

Free visual retest - he didn't even bring the car into the test centre, went out to the carpark with me, sat in & turned the key, waited for the light to go off & then gave me back keys & went to print cert etc

It will be a visual retest and you will have 30 days to restest so the garage should have the part long before that.
