    Hi
Having an ongoing wet weather issue with a VW touran 1.9 tdi.
In very wet weather is will cut out on the road . The screen will say engine garage . It will turn over but not start .
2 times I have brought it to the garage and the code said engine speed/ cam sensor . So it has been replaced twice .
It only happens in torrential weather and Monday the same thing happened . On restarting 13 hours later it errors for esp and the cool light came on .

This morning it is fine .
Would anyone have any information on wiring or later engress on these cars that might help .
    Thanks

Since you get a "coil light" it may mean the coil pack is old and needs changing.
    Perhaps ECU replays.

    What year is car?

Sorry . Coil light as in glow plug .
    It’s a 2008 model

Based on what your symptoms are, i'd be looking issues in the wiring going to the cam sensor first, then the ECU, water is effecting something like that.

It’s back in the local garage again. The cam sensor wiring was good the last time it was replaced . We’re looging for water ingress in the channels from the windscreeen to the Wells on the wheel arches .
Has to be there with some poor wiring .

This will almost certainly be a wiring problem. It’s pretty common issue on those cars.

Word back from the garage . wiring Issue to the injectors .Corrosion on the wires
. A bit shocked at the price but they said they were at it for a full day.
