Help suitable outfit for a christening

    Hi

    CAn anyone recommend a suitable outfit for a christening- I am the mother early thirties 5 foot 8 and average weight.

    There's no regulation attire, but I see a fair number of christening parties; a dress and high heels are a popular choice for ladies.
    Usually, a bit dressy-uppy but not as fancy as a wedding. Whatever you wore for Christmas should do nicely.
    Mind you, some do the full hat etc. Easier in summer!
    Meanwhile others just dress as if for church on Sundays - neat, / best frock / jacket for gents, etc.
