JSA - How Long to Collect

    Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could tell me how long you have to collect your job seekers allowance from the post office?

    I'm newly unemployed and have collected every Tuesday thus far. I've had a look through old threads and the consensus seems to be 3 days but not sure if that's still the case?

    Correct.
    Normal payment day in Tues although some post offices pay out a day early on the mon. Money stays for 3 days and is then returned to SW. It can take several weeks to be returned so if you miss collecting you can be a number of weeks without.
    If going on holidays call into your local SW office and complete a holiday form at least a week in advance.

    Holiday form also available online btw.
