Hi all. Currently looking into music that will be played in the church during the ceremony. The wedding will be in Cork City. Has anyone any advice/recommendations/websites etc?

As in, what kind of music or what songs?

I was at 2 weddings over Xmas, one had a saxophone and piano and that was fantastic. The other had a harp and acoustic guitar, also fantastic. Both weddings were songs picked by the couple.

Consider the size of the venue too though, the acoustic guitar was slightly drowned out by folk talking thinking it was finished until a general hush settled back down.

Also, I presume you know every wedding in Cork has to end with Ball & Chain as the walkout song?

I'm more looking into any recommendations for players but any recommendations for songs or instruments would be appreciated aswell. It will be a smallish wedding. About 40 people so I was thinking maybe a guitar and a singer. A harp sounds nice aswell.

I wasn't aware of this ancient tradition of the ball and chain but she's the Cork-onian and I'm a Dub so I might get away with it.

Grainne and John are a duo I had at my wedding last week. They were absolutely brilliant. People were coming up to me all evening asking who they were and saying how impressed they were.

I really didn't know a huge amount about them beforehand, I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

Will look them up. Thanks. Can I ask what music/songs you used? Just to start getting ideas.
