United enter the game on a poor run of form of 3 draws and a loss in the last 4 games while the Toffees are not much better with 2 draws one win and one loss in their last 4.

A busy Christmas period will likely see adjusted lineups for both with the possibility of Wayne Rooney playing against the club that he won 5 league titles, 4 league cups, the FA Cup, the champions league and the Europa league.

Prediction, United to stop the rot with a convincing win and Rooney to get one.

I think we'll get a reaction after been boo'd off the pitch.

If that doesn't hurt them enough to put in a performance today all the doom and gloom talk around the place will start to see some justification

I want to see wounded animals out there today showing some fight.

    0-2 united.

Not confident at all. In a real slump, some shocking half arsed performances over th Christmas period, Big Sam has stopped Everton leaking goals and given them a bit of belief again.

I think the least likely result is a Utd win.

Martial up front and Rashford on bench

You haven't been watching Everton too closely obviously. Sam's been lucky more than anything.. they've been outplayed in pretty much every game since he took charge. The wins were largely a consequence of a run of penalty awards and not of any sort of actual creativity. At the other end they were tight but enjoyed a lot of luck. Luck that Koeman was not getting. However in the last two games that little bit of luck has run out. And we've seen two dire performances against two of the worst sides in the league.

They will be tight at the back and that's about it. Once United score that will be pretty much curtains.

Might not be a goal fest but will still be a comfortable away win. Can't see anything else.

There’s a bizarre focus on the match thread from a few touchy people, so I’ll keep it here.

Utd should win this. Everton have gotten results but without playing that well. They’ll battle and it won’t be easy, but 1:2.

Predict a man Utd win so can disappear if it happens but if it doesn't then act the bollocks ;)

Nope. Not on a wind up. Utd still above us (Liverpool) so cant crow about it.
Utd have quality. I think they have the wrong manager, but that’s not going to change. They have good pace out there today, but Everton will prob sit like they did against us, so won’t be easy.
I’m only predicting what Utd fans are predicting based on the quality of both sides.

So we have one of the most successful managers on the planet

    You have a serial loser.

But we have the wrong one?

I hope United win this football match.

Hopefully 2018 starts well. I doubt we will win as many trophies this year as we did in 2017 when winning two was a poor season so we need to get going early.
