    hiya guys

I started a temporary full time job 3 months ago and have been heavily taxed.
So far between Paye/Prsi/USC I have paid almost 1400.

I am just wondering how I can claim some tax back. Can it be done online? or will I have to go into the revenue office.

Also when can I do this? do I have to wait a few weeks into the new year?

Thank you for any help I really appreciate it

Best thing to do is wait until you get your P60 in mid February approx and ring Revenue and ask them for a P21. It’s a balancing statement.

You will then receive a statement let you know how much they owe you or in the very odd case, how much you owe them.

Followed by a cheque in the post a couple of days later

Online after you get your p60. Apply for a p21. Very easy.

I have my p60 now thanks guys.

    One further question.

The p60 I got was for 2017, so I can claim back the tax I over paid. The job is finishing on Friday so I will have worked two weeks in 2018, how will I go about claiming the tax back on these two weeks, over 100 is been taken each week so I would.like to claim back if possible.

Thank you for all the help
