    Hiya everyone

So for the last 3 months I have been working full time, it was always meant to be a temporary job. I signed off online and was given the option of temporarily signing off for 12 weeks. The full time work has now ended but I have been told that there may be another two weeks, working 2 days per week.

I am just wondering what should I do about this? can I sign on for the other days or should I just wait until the work has completely finished before I sign back on.

My local social welfare office sent me a letter asking me to call into the office when this work had finished and to bring my p45 and a letter from the employer.

Im just not sure should I wait till it has finished completely or should I go in as soon as I start on two days.

Thanks for any help or feedback, this kind of thing gets me very flustered.

You will get JSB for the 3 days per week you have lost, if you have enough PRSI or be means tested for JSA if you have not.

    Thank you for the reply

But how should I go about claiming the JSB, should I go into the social welfare office before I start back or is it automatically done?

You’d have to go to the SW office first.
I’d say if your too late today, go the next day your off.

Not sure if you're JSA or JSB.
Get a letter from employer stating your new working pattern and finish date. Bring a payslip also and call into your SW office.
You'll go on casual dockets (Xs and Os) for next couple of weeks.
You'll need to return with P45 when you do finish up.

So I will pop into the social welfare office on monday, I will bring my first payslip and my p45 that hopefully they will have for me on friday.
