Sole Trade abroad - how to declare in Ireland

    Hi ! Can anyone advise ?
    I am based part of the year in another EU country, but for 2017 have remained a tax resident in Ireland. I receive payments as a sole trade to my bank account in the other EU country. For 2018 I intend to base in the EU country full time, setting up and starting a new limited company.  But for 2017 I intend to the pay tax due from 2017 in Ireland. Does anyone know how I declare this ? Is it as a sole trader ? or do I need to contact revenue directly ?

    Declare the income in your regular normal tax return.

    Use Form 12 if you are mainly PAYE, and the sole trader income is extra.

    If mainly trade income, use Form 11.
