Tax Credits question

    Hi,

Just logging on to MyAccount on the revenue site and I have a question about something I spotted.

I had a summer job (June-September), returned to college in September and found some part time work in December which i hope to keep on in the new year. Was issued a P45 from my Summer Job and handed that in to my new employer in December.

Just checked my tax credits on the revenue site and it shows "Ceased" by my Summer job and "Active" by by new Employer.

At the bottom of the page where it says "How your tax credits and rate band are currently divided"

My Tax credits are allocated for the old summer job and not the job I have recently started. Is this correct or do I need to do anything about it? Just worried I'll get charged emergency tax.

Contact revenue on 01 7023011 and ask them to reallocate them (or how to reallocate them).... Also, request a P21 if you've paid any tax. You "may" be due a refund.

Go back online again and go to '' manage my record - my documents'' .

Have a look at your tax credit certificate - The most recent one will be there .
