My wife is recently back at work and I tried to make an appointment with GP for our 8 month old to see her. The secretary said they dont see children after 4pm. Is this allowed?

Also, how do GPs get paid - is it per visit or a fixed fee for under 6s?

It's a fixed fee per year. No idea on your other question. It doesn't seem right but I think they can make up whatever rules they like.
