In a room in mother in laws with my 4 year old, we are up since 340 and got him to sleep another half an hour, texted the missus saying we are up and waiting for the family including his younger brother.

He had to go to the toilet at 530 and pass the tree, now he is asking why santa hasnt been yet, "you said the reindeer were really fast", poor kid

Pretty sure you're getting boneitis then, not scalextric.

With the right care patients can survive for up to 12 months.

So hurray, this is your year.

Garmin dash cam, a bottle of whiskey and a new shirt.
Is the hint I dress up, get smashed and then record my drive to my death?

A One4All, a bottle of red wine and some Ralph Loren eau de toilet.

I asked for a skateboard, helmet and elbow pads so pretty disappointed.

Rodger water tickets (pink Floyd the wall) which were a whopping 130 each. Surely this can't be the norm for a ticket these days

Jumper, video game and an External Hard Drive. Although, have to wait until about 4am to see if Santa is bringing my Eagles the #1 seed :P

I went to see oasis in 96 and the ticket for the point was 13.50 plus ticket charge. Ok granted it's over 20 year ago but even when I saw PF in 2014 it was only 70e and that was in the aviva

Yea I'm really getting pissed off with ticket price inflation, thankfully take home pay is rising just as equally, so it balances out!

    Only in Ireland

Disagree there, common enough around the world, many parts of Europe are the same

    Only in Ireland

You can get an open sandwich in Norway with a bit of ham cheese and cucumber on it for 16e. Have a pint with that and you are over 30e.

Just to clarify. An open sandwich is a nice way to say, we are only giving you 1 slice of bread lol.

Ireland is bad but not half as bad as the above

A good gig in Norway you need a mortgage

It's normal for tickets aimed at old people. Yes, Pink Floyd gigs now fall into the same bracket as Barbera Strisand gigs.

Santa bought me a thread full of grinches moaning about gig ticket prices...and a gin tinged hangover!

In fairness there's probably some truth in your post. I think RW is 74 now

Got the best gift I received in years from my Goddaughter. It' a small leather keyring with the word hope embossed into it. It's by a jewellery designed called MoMuse with all the proceeds going to Pieta House.

Good year for me. Kids getting older and have a few bob so they were generous to us. Got a few days away in the Lyrath estate, gift vouchers for Jacobs on the Mall, gin, Jo Malone, and numerous other things - actually delighted with myself today.

I got Callum Best aftershave. I didn't even know he had his own aftershave brand. Its actually very nice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 917 ✭✭✭Mr_Muffin

I received lots of lovely presents, as usual.

While I do appreciate the gesture, I can't help but feel that I don't actually need any of this stuff - I have everything I need and a few of the presents just end up collecting dust in the closet.

I am grateful for them though.

I got a Brazen shadow gaming chair and then the usual clothes and shower gel sets. Last year I got so many shower gel sets I didn't have to buy any till the end of April.
