It's a pity the Packers are eliminated. Vikings @ Packers with Rodgers at QB would have been a cracker.

I don't know about that. Frankly I can see an upside.

Pagano must be gone after this season surely? He hasn't done anything with the Colts, there doesn't look to be anything promising looking forward either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,004 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Very likely he not only rode Andrew luck's coattails, for years, but he actually shortened and probably ruined his career. He and the gm shouldn't be allowed near a team after I'm all probability destroying a generational talent that they more or less cheated to acquire.

Brissett has got a strong arm. But he lacks many of the intangibles needed to be a starter. It couldn't be any more obvious at this point in the year where his flaws are. And they are glaring, huge flaws. Terrible red zone QB. Terrible situational pressure QB. Worse as the game goes along and the clock shortens and the pressure rises. Brissett keeps repeating these same problems... drive after drive... game after game....

Some say that he has the tools to replace Luck going forward. Even if Luck never plays again, Brissett isn't the answer.

He is not the only reason the Colts are losing, but he certainly a part of the problem.

These games are just frustrating now.

You are being unfair to Brissett. He is a 2nd year QB who had played 2 and bit games last year. He was never pegged to come out of college as a starter and is one of these guys who needs time and development but that has been thrown out the window and now he is with an organisation who has been lucky to have 2 quality starters in Manning and Luck so minimal development needed. Hardly fair to write off a guy only in his 2nd year and with a team that is a mess.

Rewind 9 days ago to Broncos v Colts and we had an even worse one. It must be a Colts thing. Id say I have gone about 3 years without watching a full Colts game, it was painful to watch Luck's career to be mismanaged in such a drastic fashion I literally refuse to tune in.

Ravens got away with a hold at best, PI maybe to win the game there. Colts should have had a first down at the five.

Alot what you is correct but he has been throw into a difficult situation. Colt's Coryell offense is a shambles, and it's deficiencies have been covered up for years by Luck's ability. We simply just do not have the line that can maintain a pocket for these 7 step drop backs and it's the reason why Luck is in Germany right now fighting to save his career. JB has accuracy issues, poor pressure recognition and inconsistent under pressure, but it's unfair on Brissett that the coaches make him play this offense where he would be more effective in a read option, play action type offense. I think he could be an NFL stater quarterback, with the right offensive scheme and with the right development. He is just a second year with some good traits and is very coachable.

I think right now, he is around the 30th best quarterback in this league.

So who of Siemian, Gabbert, Trubisky, Kizer, Cutler do you rank behind him?

So Vikings up by three early but this just feels like it's going to be a very one sided game. Packers D did well to stop them there but you just get the feeling that as the game goes on that Minnesota are going to find ways to score and you just can't see the Packers getting much going at all.

Packers D have done well so far but their offense is not helping and you can see them getting tired as they spend a lot of time on the field.

I know there is no such thing as a banker, but which of the bolded favourites below are most likely to win.

Got a free 20 quid bet and was going to throw it on 3/4 hotpots.

    Thanks in advance

    Miami v Kansas
    Buffalo v New England
    Cleveland v Chicago
    Tampa v Carolina
    Atlanta v New Orlean
    Denver v Washington

Probably a bit late for you now but New England, Kansas and Carolina are probably the most likely, with Chicago also very likely to win. Couldn't call the other 2 games with any certainty (2 home teams would probably be favourites though).

Pick 6 by Brady. 5th game in a row with an INT unheard of from him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Gronk with a friggin circus catch for a TD. The man is simply unplayable.

and yet teams continue to leave him in one on one coverages with db's, I'll never understand that! If theres one player in the NFL you should be double covering its him

The Bills caught with 15 men on the field earlier! What a f**k up that was.

same, thought it was very hard to go against the call on the field! Pats yet again get a huge break!

That's unlucky for the Bills. Called a TD and I think it should have stayed; not enough to overturn.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

I know its a running joke that Patriots always get the calls form the officials....... but even the Pats fan in me says that's a TD :pac:

Thought it was very marginal, but called right. Didn't think it would be over-turned however. Pats getting the rub of the green again this season, tin-foil hat brigade will be out in full force:D:D

    Same commentary team as well!!!

Nantz and Romo flipped/flopped a few times during the replays, doesn't help with the review from the viewers perspective.

    Rules that grind your gears:

The ball is fumbled and recovered by the Jags. Red flag is thrown but it's ruled that the runner was down. Challenge not allowed because the whistle blew for end of forward progress. Now that is one that really gets my goat. Ball was lost and clearly recovered by the other team, not being reviewable is ridiculous. It could end up costing the Jags because the niners just scored a td on the same drive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

49ers ripping apart the Jags. Bortles with 3 interceptions.
