    Hi Guys,
Just looking for a bit of advice. I got a litter fine in the post today saying i've broken section 3.1 of the the litter pollution act. I'm living in limerick and rent with a property management company. Each apartment is given a clear plastic recycling bin bags that we can put out on the street to be collected by a bin company. So we usually leave the bag out the night before and it's collected in the morning sometime. Basically what i think happened was the bag wasn't collected for some reason by the bin company and a litter warden got to it and found a document belong to me in there. I'm ringing up the council tomorrow to see what they say. Any help with the matter? Think theres much hope in getting away with paying the fine? I'm aware the document implements me as it being my rubbish but i don't think i should pay the penalty for following the rules which my property management agency has made.

Did you put the bag there? If yes then you will find it quite hard to deny liability or to convince a judge or litter warden that it isn't your own doing.
