Called for interview - out of country

Got a call about a job I’ve applied for and completed an online competence test in. The lady asked would I be free at a specific time and day next week, I’ll be out of the country until this day next week so I explained this to her. Told her I’d be free Friday, didn’t really suit, said she’ll try to reschedule for January.

Will this work against me or am I thinking into it too much?

Next week is pretty much wind down for many places followed by Christmas week. So effectively January is when things world start to move.

What kind of organisation? Are they recruiting one person or 10 people or 100 people?

Is this relevant to the ops situation?

They are interviewing next week, the op is unlikely to be the only applicant. What other companies do is irrelevant.

Software company. Recently opened office for the org so I would say possibly between 5-10 jobs going.

As Davo said I guess it would all depend on whether they’re going to fill all the positions next week, I can only hope for hey don’t I guess
