Double week payments are due from next week to cover the week starting the 18th and the week starting the 25th.

But do they include illness benefit? Can't seem to spot it on the list at citizens info.

the double week is cuz most post offices are closed for a couple days xmas week. It includes all payments paid via the post office. Its not the same as the xmas bonus which was paid 2 weeks ago to long term social welfare payment (illness benifit isnt included in this)

So next week most payments will be paid double but only because there will be no payments the week after. And payments due new years day canbe collected the saturday beforehand also

Are you talking about a Christmas bonus that other people got at the end of November?

Or the double payment next week because there is no payment the following week?

The double payment. I realise she won't get the bonus payment. Although thats quite unfair to people who have chronic illness and want to work when they can

I got the double payment today. Presuming I'll get a single payment next week and then nothing the week after. Does anyone know how the certs work over Christmas. Do I just go into GP whatever day he's back working, instead of the Monday?

It doesn't say that  the illness benefit double payment will be on the 29th
That link clearly says that double payment will be made in the week beginning Monday 18th December 2017 along with your usual payment for that week on your usual payment day.
    • There will be no “regular” weekly payments during the week beginning Monday 25th December 2017

I got double last week and then got a single this week. They're open again on Wednesday. Get on to them. You should have been paid this week. The extra week last week was to cover next week.

Okay thanks for letting me know. I usually drop my cert in on the day but was in hospital so had to post the two of them. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'll get onto them then. Cheers
