Update: replaced the battery and it’s all working fine.

Mods: feel free to delete this thread.

    Hi

During a power outage, the alarm went off. That’s okay in itself, but the problem is that there seemed to be no power at the keypad either, so I couldn’t enter a code to turn it off.

The ringer stopped after 2.5 hours (mains power still not back), so at least that’s not causing a nuisance any more.

Does the keypad have its own battery that needs replacing, or does it get power from the control board? I assume there’s a battery in the control board that kept the ringer going without mains power.

If I open the controller and replace the battery in that, should power then go to the keypad also?

    Thanks in advance.

Did you get to check the voltage on the battery leads before installing the new battery?

    No.

The power outage was still in place, so there was no power going to the control board.
