Savoy Hotel Limerick

Trying to help someone out who wants to stay there in two weeks, does anyone know how substantial are the "renovations" are they likely to impact his stay? Should he stay there or move to somewhere else?

Apparently Expedia has a note about renovations, hence the initial concern and question.

Might be talking about the planned extension at the Shannon street end, but that hasn't started yet. Passed there this morning and no obvious exterior renovations but that's not to say they're not doing interior stuff.

I don’t think you’ll find a hotel doing too much renovation work at the time of year. Might be best to call the Savoy and ask yourself.

Had a very quick look at Expedia on the phone and the renovation/closure part is about some of the facilities being closed Christmas Eve and Day, should be OK Smurfjed.

There is also some quite loud construction work ongoing in one of the warehouses backing onto the same alley as the Savoy's rear.

Might be finished by the time your friend arrives though.
