    Hard to beat a good Suffolk or Texel. Ewe lambs out of either make great ewes with that cross.

    The Suffolk lambs do the best but it will increase lambing difficulty and mortality I'd say. So texel I'd say all round

    Charolais if yer not lambing too early. Simple converter of grass
