In general terms, if a venue has an on-licence, but doesn't operate as a typical pub / night club, what are the general necessities surrounding playing music and allowing dancing on the premises?

Fire exits in line with the code , Maximum capacity allowance, accessibility for all persons etc all to be checked prior to opening.

There are separate stand alone licences required for dancing and live music, both of which have nothing to do with a licence to sell alcohol.
