1 month car insurance?

    A friend of mine is coming home for the christmas and will here for 4 weeks. He has been abroad for a number of years so has no car insurance policies. Can he get a short term insurance policy if a car is available for him to use ??

    He can get put on someone elses insurance for a month, but he wont be able to get an insurance policy by himself for a month.
