I have ordered the climote from EI to be installed next month. Can anyone tell me if the installer can change my current two zone setup (upstairs heat and hot water and downstairs heat) to a 3 zone system i.e 1. upstairs heat, 2.downstairs heat and 3. hot water. Would it be a big job separating the upstairs heat from the hot water? Thanks for any info.

You are aware Climote has an ongoing subscription to maintain remote access

The installer will definitely not change your Existing System to a 3 Zone

How Big a Job it would be depends on Plumbing Layout

Honeywell do a system That can Zone Rads without changing Plumbing

    Hi GatsbyGal,

Thank you for choosing Climote with Electric Ireland.

The Electric Ireland Home Energy Services team have asked us (the Social Media team) to advise you that the installer working on behalf of Electric Ireland would not be able to separate out the zones when installing the Climote and this would need to be done in advance of the Climote installation.

If you would like any further assistance, please let us know.

    Best regards,
    Una

    Hi xl500,

Here on Boards, we just receive notification of queries that are made to us directly (by private message or to the Electric Ireland Talk To forum).

Queries regarding Electric Ireland made to other forums are not direct queries to us, so it takes us longer to spot them. However we sometimes respond to them if we are asked to by another department, or of our own volition if we feel it is appropriate. We have to seek permission from the Boards.ie moderators first though.

There was a delay on this occasion and we can understand it is not always appropriate to respond to an indirect query after a certain amount of time has passed, however, as GatsbyGal posted that the installation is due to take place next month, we felt it would still be timely to respond.

    Regards,
    Una
