switching broadband process

    I applied to have my broadband only vodafone switched to Eir. I do not have phone number, only UAN but I was under impression switching means just to unplug old modem and plug in new one.

    I selected on the website that I am switching from Vodafone, I do have UAN (filled it in) but don't have a telephone line.

    Now technician is booked in to install, did I do something wrong?
