    Hi everyone,

I’m delighted to say I got a job as a trainee manager in a grocery store. I want to have a successful career in retail and have plenty of experience as a store assistant.

I want to push on now. I’m more then ready to make the step up.

In life you can never have enough knowledge. So what I’m asking is, does anyone have any advice on how to be successful as a trainee manager and start pushing on up the ladder?

Thank you for any advice given,

Patience and humility, don't judge people by your standards and lead anyone youbshould be leading by example not by order. So work hard and come in ten minutes early. Also have patience and humility with those above you, when someone tires to teach you something be interssted and ask questions atvthatvtime not later. The trick is to make your seniors to think that you remind them of a younger you.

Fmcg (grocery) managemant is an excellent prospect but keep focused and stay nice.
Oh and take your breaks you need to avoid burning out.
