    Hello,

Anyone been to Egypt on holidays? Do I need a visa?

Am confused between the Egyptian embassy website and our own department of foreign affairs, which says you can get obtain the visa when you get there/upon entry.

    Any advice?

Was in Cairo in 2010 and got my visa on arrival at the airport.

This was before the uprisings so not sure if that has changed matters.

When you arrive you can go to the Visa desk in the airport and get it there and then

Don't go to the cinema there. You'll end up on stage with the Muslim Brotherhood.

You get one at the arrival next to the passport control

I think you just need to wander out to watch a film.

Just to note, Egypt is one of those countries where they require your passport to be valid for 6 months AFTER your departure.
If it's not, you won't even be let on the plane at this end.
