Hi all, had the oil pump replaced on insignia last week. Car driving fine but this morning oil pressure low stop car warning came up. Could it just be that warning hasn't been cleared?

Likely there's still an issue that needs to be investigated. Take it back to whoever done it for you and ask them to put a mechanical pressure gauge into a test point on the block to confirm oil pressure is OK. If it is, then its likely the pressure switch or wiring that is at fault. If pressure is too low on the gauge, there's still an issue. Hopefully they replaced oil and filter at same time after the repair as if not, that can be another potential source of the issue (filter blocking).
Either way, get it attended to ASAP, before it causes more catastrophic damage...

Hey, yes they replaced oil and filter as car had full service as well as new oil pump. It only came up once and flashed off.

Another thing to be wary of is oil pressure switches will switch at 6 to 8 psi . For them to turn on the pressure has to be very low

Was on the insignia forum and they're saying it sounds like the seal in oil sump. Which would involve stripping the engine again. Should I be asking why wasn't it done?

Aujopimur said this might have been the issue in the other thread you started.

Still be surprised if this isn't a crank issue

+1, the 2.0D are known for crankshaft problems
