Garda FCN cancellation - exceptional circumstances

Just wondering has anyone had success getting an FCN cancelled from the Gards?
I have a clean license, never had a ticket before but I’ve been issued with an €80 fine to be paid before Xmas. The incident I feel is unjustified and a prime example of a Garda having a bad day.
Background: I was pulled into a loading bay at 11:30 pm in the city centre (off Stephens green) to collect a friend. As she approached the car I pulled up closer so she could get into the car as there was a sign post obstructing the passenger door. As she opened the door to get in, a plain clothes gard approached and asked to see my license as I was stopped in a disabled parking spot, I told him I wasn’t parked and was just about to move on. He was angry from the get go, took my details and told me to expect a fine in the post. Was actually shocked to receive it to be honest as the situation was a bit mental, a light telling off / warning would have been enough I think. Opinions on whether I have grounds for a cancellation please! Thanks in advance.

    Zero. Pay the fine

You will still have a clean licence as there are no penalty points for the offence of parking in a disabled spot.
