Suspect I may have lost my locking nut for a VW GOLF.

How much am I looking at to get a replacement?

You'll pick one up on ebay handy enough...you'll need to know what type you need though...I think there are around 20 different types or so...

Stupid question, how do you know which one you need?

    Surely they aren't totally generic.

Best bet remove the cover on the wheel and take a picture of the profile of the locking nut on your car.
Try and match that then to the used ones you see listed on eBay.

What year is the Golf? Is it the OEM one or aftermarket.

Any dealer will have a master set. They'll probably take them off for you for free if you service with them etc.

You can't buy a replacement key for them though, you'll have to buy a new set.
