Zanussi zdf2020 dishwasher no power

I put the dishwasher on one night. Next morning no power or signs of power. No lights nothing. It had just conked out completely. I checked the plug socket and it was fine and tried changing the fuse in the plug and that made no difference. What would cause it to suddenly stop working like that with no warning?

it could be any number of places where the break down has occurred but for a simple check look along the bottom edge of the door where the loom travels up to the controls for a break in the wiring harness, when they get older the wire becomes brittle and can break from all the opening and closing
