Now that domestic animals are allowed in restaurants, cafes and bars (at discretion of management) perhaps it would be useful for everyone to post where they have been welcomed in with their pup.

I visit Fumbally & Pupp cafe regularly with no hassles - of course Pupp markets itself as dog friendly.

I have sat outside Hobarts in Ranelagh for breakfast and they have kindly given me a sausage for my dog!

The Dog House: Blue’s Tea Rooms in Howth welcome dogs. You should wrap up well since they’re outdoors (with heaters). They serve meals.

I took my dogs to Beerhouse at the end of Capel St a couple of times, until one day they refused us because “too many people were bringing dogs”

Columbia bar in Mullingar allow dogs... they have for a while now. They do not serve food but they allow you to bring in your own lunch to eat with a coffee or a pint!

Metro Cafe on South William St (Dublin) have been dog friendly for many years. They provide water bowls etc, I'm not sure about bringing them inside though.

Lowes in Dolphin's Barn. One of the barmen told me he occasionally brings his own dogs in too.

    Any dog friendly bookshops?

The Gutter Bookshop in Temple Bar kindly allowed me to bring my dog in the other day and the owner was so lovely and delighted to see her. Its a great little independent bookshop too

Ratoath Garden centre and Johnstown Garden Centre are both dog friendly. Milo eats them out of house and home when he goes to Ratoath garden centre- they're so good to him there!

Mr C & I popped into Boojum on Kevin St this evening on the way home, not sure they’re ok with eat in dogs though.

Not giving away our favourite cafe though as Mr C can just about cope with the regulars as is...

For years we’ve hung out at Grogans Pub with our lot especially on Xmas eve as they usually get a doggie friendly tipple...

Thats great news, I may take my dachshund down there soon for dinner :)

I passed it a couple of times and thought it would be a nice stop for coffee and cake on our walks

It’s not too bad, a bit overpriced for some of the ingredients used, but their cakes are really nice.

The Barbers pub in Grangegorman is dog friendly and they serve doggy beer and even ran a doggy brunch event a while back. We brought the Westie there last night to see in the New Year, and to mark her adoption anniversary.
The Dice Bar is also dog friendly. I went for a pint there with two of the dogs once and the barman gave me a bowl of water for them without me having to ask. I've had them in Frank Ryans pub as well where there is a resident dog.
The White Moose Cafe on the North Circular Road is another spot that welcomes dogs inside, I haven't been in there yet though.
