    Hi Folks

Looking at buying the LG 43UJ634V for FreeSat (and saorview)

If I get the Irish model will it still automatically order the freesat channels, or am I better to buy the uk model.

Basically I don't want to have to manually re tune and reorder the SAT channels

Here is the discription from Currys.co.uk
    TV tuner
    - DVB-T2 Freeview HD Tuner
    - DVB-S2 Freesat HD Tuner
    link

Here is the discription from Currys.ie
    TV tuner
    -DVB-T2 Irish Digital Ready Tuner
-DVB-S2 Irish Digital Ready HD Tuner
    link

    Thanks

I'm open to correction but don't believe there is a UK/Ireland variation here. From using an LG 32 inch, the key to getting the freesat features is to select that you are in the UK and provide a postcode during setup. However, not sure what the impact then is on saorview.

I dont think that TV is an official FREESAT TV and could be only a FTA which means you will have to tune and reorder the UK channels. its not listed on the Freesat site https://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/televisions/?brand=LG and i cant find any mention of Freesat in the specs of the TV https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/2d47b4e

I would be of the some opinion as the previous reply, Curry's just change the wording on their Irish site. From comments on boards you can regig the channels but I believe changing between sat and saorview is a bit of an issue, maybe ask for a demo in the shop.

Thanks for all the replies folks, all good advice

I think a demo in store is the way to go all right.

I went on live chat on UK website, below is excerpt of converstaion

Currys: This is an official freesat tuner, so it will work exactly like the freesat box

Me: excellent, that is what |I wanted to know, I just didnt see the tv listed on the freesat list of tvs

Currys: Alot more televisions now are getting the freesat tuners,

Me: so it will have 7day epg and correct order of channels ?

    Currys: That is correct

    Me: cool thanks

I have found in the past the Freesat site doesn't always list the full range of TVs with Freesat tuners.

LG do a range of Freesat models so it would be strange if this didn't have it. As has been mentioned already it must be configured as country = UK during initial setup.
