Looking to Upgrade the Missus - Budget Camera Phone Recommendations

Hey Folks,

At the moment the missus has a Galaxy S4 which is fine but it's getting a bit long in the tooth. As we have a six month old baby she's a little envious of the camera on my Galaxy S7 and wants to upgrade. The main requirement of a new phone is that it has to have a decent camera, possibly OIS but I guess that might be a stretch with a budget of around €250.

Is the Xiaomi Mi A1 worth looking at or perhaps the Moto G5S?

I'd appreciate any feedback that might help steer me away from signing her up to Tesco on a 2 year plan- just to get the S7.

The mi a1 is fantastic, but the problem is they dont ship or deliver here. So pretty much, you have to buy it off a retailer (most likely gearbest or eglobal) and they add hefty taxes and may not provide a warranty. The motorola g5s plus is supposed to be excellent, but I have read many forum posts stating it has a camera issue where dust accumulates inside it. I myself have ordered the g5s plus and by the looks of it, people who live in the asian region are the only people affected by the dust issue. Hope this helps

Edit ; Good news, people in the European region are *NOT* affected by the dust issue. I would go ahead and place an order for the g5s plus on motorola.co.uk use the code *UKWELCOME10* for 10 pounds off, and use parcel motel/parcel wizard and paypal to pay for it, as they do not ship to ireland, or you can chance it and buy it off eglobal for about 30 quid less or from amazon.de or amazon.it for even less. I just bought off motorola.co.uk just to save the hassle and extra risks and dont forget, you have a -14 day return period- .
