Make him pay for it, through his job or dole. It is the only way he will get punished. A useless €150 public order fine is no good. Let him pay the few thousand repair bill. If he has a car sell it, if he has savings confiscate it. Make him pay the full cost.

Same thing happened to us early last year, but it was bikers, at night and they did major damage to our 12th green and fairway;

I think it was a 00 golf so if you sold it, it might cover the fine...

It's bad enough for the members to be looking at this but it must be a killer for the Greenkeepers to see the mindless damage caused after all of their effort.
