We have a vacation coming up end of this year to places with loads of snow and subzero temperature. It may involve fair amount of walking.

I am looking for apparel to keep us warm. Synthetic Thermals, Snowboots, Shoe liners, wollen socks, etc.

Where in Dublin and the neighbourhood can I buy these items for adults and kids?

I would check Uniqlo website for clothes. Proper winter clothing can be very expensive but there are some brands that are a bit less expensive.

I’m off to northern sweden and norway in Feb. i’ve picked up a lot of stuff at mountain warehouse. They have both an eu and uk website. I’ve purchased off the uk website and had it posted. O problem. They constantly have sales so have good deals and the clothes are not expensive

They do but after Brexit it's sent from Germany. They don't do exchange so it is better to order two sizes if you are unsure and send the one you don't need back. That works only up to a point because you have to pay for returns.

Uniqlo U line is seriously good quality for the price and it gets sold out quickly. Regular line is less interesting but in my opinion better quality than similarly priced stuff in other high street brands.

Decathlon now deliver to Ireland. They’ve a big shop in Belfast too.

Was in Iceland this year and you could see all the European visitors with their Quechua gear. Good quality and very very reasonable prices.

You probably don’t need as much as you think. You can often wear your regular clothes and layer up. How cold do you expect it to be?
