Aga hanwood wood only stove

    Hello,

I installed an aga hanwood wood only stove last week. It's a new house with good insulation. I m disappointed with the heat output. It's supposed to be 9kw, but having used a smaller multi fuel stove in a previous house, I know the stove isn't putting out the heat it should. It also doesn't compare with similar powered stoves i saw working in stock shops.

It's got a big door, and when re fueling it allows a plume of smoke into the room. It's like the draw up the chimney isn't strong enough. I fitted a 150 flexi liner with vermacilte and a rain cowl as directed by the manual. I connected a 100mm Alu pipe for a dedicated external air intake. This is drawing in the cold air outside and condensation is settling on the air connection on the stove underneath. The connection is already corroding as the condensation is quite significant.

There are very few reviews online,(none that I could find). Im really disappointed as the stove looking lovely and really suits the room. Im handy enough at fitting so I don't think there's a problem with installation, but I'm open to correction. It's in the downstairs of an open plan room of a 2 storey house. Chimney length is 8 metres. No overhanging trees or building to cause down draught either.

Anyone any ideas or tests I can carry out to get it running correctly??

    Any ideas out there??

I've tried different wood, made little difference. I got a anti wind cowl for the OAK, no real difference. I m thinking.now the chimney pull is too much and pulling the heat up. I see mixed theories on putting a damper valve.on the chimney pipe. Kindof at a loss, but I feel the stove should heat the room
