I have a vag com and have used it on an Audi A4 2009 fine

Got a 2017 a4 and when I go to coding long coding helper there no information on the ticked untucked boxes.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I think you're on you're own where those tick boxes have no info against them, most likely means that Ross Tech don't have or have not found what function exactly they change on the vehicle. Best thing to do is check on their website or search for a long coding helper for the B9 A4. Here's an interesting site I found with some tweaks that can be done on a B9 A4 it seems.... https://audiwiki.bitt-c.at/index.php/Audi_A4_B9_ab_Bj_2015 might need to translate from German to Englisch....

The car is too new for Ross Tech to have created the .lbl files yet, they will be working on it over the new couple of years. Doesnt help vw changed the entire coding and protocol system for 2017 after following a fairly predictable pattern until then.

Hate to take thread off course but does anyone know if the key receiver in a 2009 a4 needs to be coded to the car or is it plug and play.

My a4 flashes a fault about ignition lock defective sometimes and see the part listed on eBay.
Wonder is it a DIY job or garage one.

    Plug and play.

OP, try the Beta version of VCDS, if that doesn't have the coding info then you can send VCDS a control module map and they will look at it for you. They are generally very helpful. You should also register on their forum, lots of knowledgeable people on it. All of this assumes that your version of VCDS is legit of course....

Recently did coding on a 171 Octavia where I encountered this. Had never seen it before. When I went into adaptions though I found I was able to make most of the changes I was looking to make.

Sorry to hijack this thread even further. I've a 172 Octavia and I'm trying to get the cornering fogs working using the poor man's vcds (an obd eleven) but without success. Using a guide on briskoda there were extra steps for a vrs(Mine isn't a vrs) but all that gave me were permanently lit main beams!! All other adaptations, rear lights on with drl's, dipping mirror on reverse etc worked perfectly. I think the new separate headlight arrangement on the facelift car is upsetting the apple cart. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
