I'm currently working in retail 4 years 1 year as a team leader. Love the job, I want to climb the career ladder but my company do not have any positions available so I'm thinking of moving elsewhere maybe next year.

What's the next job after Team Leader? Would it be supervisor, trainee manager or assistant manager ? Anyone who is a manager please give me advice if you can.

I think you should leave the company. I handed in notice during the week. The company I was with knew I wanted to go on to try management and to be fair they said they would help me out.

But when I seen trainee manager position advertised online I applied for a few and luckily enough I got a job offer. No point waiting around for what might happen when the opportunity is right in front of you.

Personally in your situation you have experience as a team leader. I wouldn’t go for a supervisor job. I’d go for a trainee role or above. Just keep an eye out and apply.

What company are you with? Tesco?

Where do you work and what’s the job? The pay any good? I’m only on 10.50 and hour. Should I apply through recruitment agencies or direct stores ? Thanks

I tried the agency but didn’t get any luck.

I found a few adds on gumtree and indeed and just got a bit of luck

Not starting till next week. The pay is decent, nothing amazing, but was told that there are pay rises there, if I preform. So better put the head down
