Ideas for break in Italy

    Looking to book a trip over the Christmas holiday, looking at Rome but has anyone any other ideas for places to go to other than Rome. It's going to be surprise for other half birthday, it's a big one lol.

    Rome is great with a lot to do and see but have a look at Venice too, a beautiful place and maybe slightly different than the norm. Fine wine and Food all around Italy as expected. Verona is also a beautiful place which is worth looking into.

    looking at head the first weekend in Jan now prices seem to be a bit more reasonable then. Thanks Ciaran for the input hope to book somthing this weekend and have it done and dusted before Christmas.

    Yes you may catch some January Sales. Do you use Air BnB when travelling? I haven't yet as I am still a bit wary of it, still loyal to bookings.com

    Yea use booking.com myself never used air b&b , don't be away much myself. My partner does all the traveling.
