Oil range and heating

So need some Advice. My heating doesn't seem to be working well. Would have the heating on for two hours and the rads would only just be getting hot and doesn't heat the house to much.

Have a stanley oil cooker which I've set to 65 and the cooker section to idle. There is a thermostat beside the tank and I had that set to between 30-40. Now on reading some things I think it should be around 60?

Even havin it at 30-40 the water in the tank would be roasting and rads stone cold. Is there a way of getting that hot water to the rads instead of stayin in the tank?

Did you by any chance open a balancing valve in the hot press?

I have no idea what that is, I would not be up with the plumbing at all.

here are some pics of the hot press.

I changed the white valve to 60 and the hot water is even slower than usual getting to the rads. its on about an hour now and only the tip of the rads is luke warm

Did you adjust anything (except that white thermostat) between the time it worked ok and went wrong? If not, you might have a failing circulation pump.

Well we moved into the hous in April and havnt done anythin differently that adjust the white dial. If I put that lower the water seems to go to the rads more. Just assumed everything worked fine but been questioning it lately

Is that white thermostat for circulation maybe? Or what is its purpose. Cause if it's lower it seems the hot water will go to the rads?

Looks like your heating circuit is in gun barrel and the pump is ancient, I would go for a new pump and powerflush.
The thermostat is not your problem.

How much would that set me back? Bug job. I'd say it's old alright cause no one lived here for 6 years before we moved in and the plumber we got was beyond useless
