hi all, just looking for some advice. a long story short an incident occured between my husband and a neighbour. the incidented resulted in both parties contacting the guards. both parties made a statement. when my husband went in to make his statement he brought in the dashcam camera that was in his car to back up his statement. he was informed that our neighbour said he tried to run him over with his car and that he was roaring abuse at him out the window and then he proceeded to attack him. the camera can prove that he did not try to run him over as he wasnt even on the road and also that my hubbie was not roaring abuse at him but he cant prove that he did not attack him..im wondering what kind of trouble can this man get in for lying in his statement and can his statement even be crediable? they did have an argument and pushing and shoving went on but he is claiming he visously attacked him which he did not!

I've moved your thread from the What's On forum. However, I've locked it to allow the local mods to review to ensure the thread doesn't break forum rules.

Its probably going to be a caution on both parties but could well go against either side.

Depends on the cop and if any witness were to come forward.

Does either have marks or look beat up?

The dash can will definitely help.

May I suggest getting CCTV fitted on the house and maybe be prepared with a phone or likes of go pro if anywhere near to neighbour.

All the video does is to strongly indicate what happened at a particular time (which may or may not match the time stamp on the recording device). It proves very little of what happened at any other time.

conflicting accounts told by the neighbor also 'at that particular time' could cast doubt on their overall credibility!.. maybe
