I gave Weanlings ivermectin based products a few times during the summer and pre housing. I noticed a good few of them coughing so I dosed them with levafas diamond to alternate from ivermectin. It didn’t really hit the lung worms they are still coughing. I don’t really want to give them an ivermectin based product again. What would be s good alternative to avoid cattle developing immunity to ivermectin

Can you be sure that they're coughing because of lungworms tho?
    Are they vaccinated against pnuemonia?
Would it be worthwhile getting their dung tested?

If they are still coughing I would question if it is a lungworm problem.
Check the airflow in the house and ring your vet for a visit.

It’s an open three bay shed. I think I will hit them with an ivermectin tomorrow and see how I go

When and what was the last dose before housing? Have you dosed them since housing?

Like the other lads, I'd be thinking its not a dose you need for the coughing problem.

Not sure if it's still available, but there used to be an antibiotic powder CTC to mix tru meal. Expensive but effective.
Levacide is alternative pour on to the ivermectin based ones. Then albex for white drench down the neck.

Use the ctc here. Mighty job.
