Where could I find info or does anyone know if there are regulations surrounding the type of fixings you can use when retro fitting solar PV panels to the roof of a domestic house ?

Fixings as specified by the panel manufacturer.

Thanks, so its basic Irish reg's, "what ever they're selling is correct".

I was looking at a job for someone and the PV panel supplier is proposing the use of solar hanger bolts as oppose to a bracket to fit the rails to. Just from some research I had seen that the bolts don't come very highly recommended in the UK, alot of installers/suppliers seemed to be saying the drill roof tile/slate and into the rafter was more likely to cause issues with leaks.

We generally don’t drill through the tiles/slates over here.
We move the tiles and fix directly to the rafters and the tiles Slot back down over the bracket.
