Not sure if anyone has heard of this. It's held on the Saturday after thanksgiving every year. It looks bat***t crazy. A 37% gradient :eek::eek::eek::eek: and a few cobbled sections thrown in. Apparently it's streamed live on YouTube.

Looks great alright. I've often wondered about doing a Dublin version in the hills facing the city. Say, Three Rock, Kilmashogue Lane, Tibradden Lane, Cruagh, Stocking Lane, Bohernabreena, Ballinascorney, Ballymanna Lane, Mount Seskin (ok that's only nine, but more than enough to be getting on with)..

Sadly the guy who founded and organised the Pittsburgh Dirty Dozen is now paralysed after being hit by a car while out cycling.

lit really does look like a community event and a similar dublin event would be interesting but part of the appeal for the Dirty Dozen is the urban setting which with the exception of howth and killiney would be missing in dublin.

Also it should be mentioned that no other vehicle was involved in Danny Chew's accident

when he had an apparent “dizzy spell” and drifted off the road and crashed into a drainage ditch, breaking his neck,

Hadn't heard that, very sad. But he sure has created something that will last for ages.
It's definitely an event that could be re-created,well almost anywhere. Thinking caps on folks.
