What scope would someone recommend for deer stalking,

    €1500ish
    3-12 or 4-16, x50 or 56
    some form of mildot
    Illumunated
Replacing a S&B 3-12x50 klassic, the cross hair is very thick at longer ranges.
so an upgrade to the above

New or PM me if you know of something second hand.

I've a Bushnell LRHS 3-12x44 which may be considered something of an oddball but it's got a lot of the features that I wanted and I've found it to be a serious performer. The 44mm front occular may disqualify it for you but I've come to prefer them to the 50's.

    Anyways:
    Tube: 30mm
Reticle: mil-mil & FFP, non-illuminated, 'G2H' reticle. Hashed for 0.5 and 1 mil increments with a 2 mil 'kill zone' circle in the center, and because it's FFP, zeroing or adjustments are a direct translation from what you see in the view regardless of mag or range.
Adjustments: Resettable turrets 0.1mil/click (elevation is tactical, windage is capped), 24mils total. Adjustments are positive and repeatable.
    Parallax: Side focus 50m+
Eyepiece: Eyebox and relief are excellent even at full mag.

    Comments:
Center of the reticle is very fine at 3x but the outer posts are heavy, much like a duplex or 30-30 arrangement, so there's still no problem placing a target. The Glass is as clear as I've ever seen, but that being said, I've never used a Swaro or an S&B so I've no basis for comparison in that regard.

They run about €1450 or so but I've seen them for less than that on a few occasions now.
