Lads - looking for a recommendation for good off road tyres for the land cruiser. The ones I have are nearly gone and I really struggled today driving through a field that only had a small slope on it.

BF Goodrich. Had them on the trooper, a great set of tyres. Lasted 3 years. Their pricey but worth every penny

Around here would have needed an amphibious jeep today.
I use Toyo open country good wear not noisy on road and will go most places once kept going.

Have BF Goodrich All Terrain on an L200
    And Yokahama on a Pajero

BF win hands down for wear and traction but Yoko better for road

Have to change the Tyres on the L200.

Do a little off road, but want something to give good grip for towing a trailer on the road in all weather & conditions.

Would you recommend the Yoko over the BFG?
Is it the Yoko A/T you have?

    BFG AT's all day long.

Have had bfg ats and the Cooper discoverer stt pros are better in every aspect despite the rugged look.
    Can't fault them.
Bfg at aren't a dedicated off road tyre. They're rubbish in sticky ground.

I had Cooper STT's as well, found they dug down a lot more so you sank a bit before going forward. The noise difference between the two is another noticeable difference. The BFG AT2 are even better than the original, but you're right they're all terrains - just re-read the original pst and he did ask for off road tyres so the STT's might better suit. No experience with the BFG mud tyres. Maxxis are another type I see off road a lot.
