How different are irish women compared to their European counterparts

i was having a chat with a work colleague earlier. I was saying how over the years i have dated multiple irish women and multiple other nationalities and as i get older i have realised how different they are. Is this complete bollok or am i right

Because ireland is such a religeous country i have always thought irish women can be more uptight, when it comes to sex and just general life. Sometimes they just want to follow the steps of relationship,house,kids,death instead of taking things as they come and enjoying life

Eastern european women love to look after their men in my opinion. Its in their culture. Plus they can go out with the lads too and keep up with the booze and the chat

Have you found irish women very different..other traitswhich you have found for irish or other nationalities

Btw women this is all tongue in cheek and dont get pissed off with us

"Us"? the whole thread is your thinking so don't involve us men on your own behalf.
Of course there are differences, every single country is different to the other.
You're comparing Irish women to eastern European women.. do you see any flaw in that? Leaving the nonsense aside now..

I've dated many nationalities and there's definitely commonalities that come through ......... Eastern European women, for example, are dull as dishwater personalty-wise, zero (or different?) sense of humour and by jaysus do they like a winge .......... I started with Irish women and thank God I ended up with one in the end!

Go to pretty much any European country and I pretty much guarantee one of the locals lads will say similar of the local women. Have I observed any general differences? Some, but individuals and different sub cultures vary far more. As for following the "steps of relationship,house,kids,death", I can think of a few European cultures where this is way more in evidence. No names no pack drill... Some are extremely social status and social pressure driven.

You mention "Eastern European" women as if they're one big generality. They can vary from country to country and culture to culture and of course individual to individual. Sexual attitudes? Some are more free and easy, some are very much not. You'll get more one night stands and general stranger snoggage in Cork than you will in say Moscow, that's for damned sure. And in some the set down accepted "traditional" thing is very much in play.

You mention the women looking after the men? What most mean when they say that is more "traditional" women and cultures. Great, but you better step up and be the "traditional" man, or they won't hang around for long. Also I have found that those self same on the surface macho cultures are very different under the surface. All macho when single and dating, but after marriage, the women tend to run the show.

I have also found Irish women™ to be generally less harsh, more easy going over time, more about the partnership thing in relationships(unless the guy is weak and they have to take over the Mammy© role). .

I've known all kinds of Irish women from quite conservative to sexually confident party animals and everywhere in between. I would imagine the spectrum of women is the same in all Western countries nowadays, and that of men too. We're not all that different.

I'd prefer a Slav woman over Irish any day. I prefer them in every respect. My serious gf's were non-Irish and there was only one irish woman i was willing to compromise that for.
Czech, Slovak, Croat, Latvian, etc; any day over an Irish woman.

I honestly have no idea where this idea of Irish women being frigid, conservative neo-nuns comes from. From a platonic level, Irish women tend to be great craic, and always easy to have a bit of fun with. Some of the fun I've had with Irish women in university classes and jobs over the years doesn't come close to the way some different nationalities interact with the opposite sex. And from a romantic level, I've found Irish women to be a lot less "materialism" and status focused than Eastern Europeans and Southern Europeans (although this may just be my personal experience).

Obviously as male, I know more males than females but I know lads with girlfriends/wives from France, Mexico, Italy, Venezuela, China and so on. The most exotic male partner of woman that I know is Northern Ireland :pac:

In my extensive experience of 1 eastern European girlfriend from Moldova she was absolutely nuts. Mad for sex and good looking but extremely demanding and in the end I realised she was going to ruin my life if I stuck with her. Proper nutjob. Back with an Irish girl now. Not as good looking but has better tits and is completely chilled and doesn't give me any hassle at all. Has a small moustache too and I only get a ride when she's drunk so swings and roundabouts really.

Irish women suffer severely with weight issues now. Finding a slim Irish girl is getting rarer and rarer. Find most foreign women caring about there appearance even though facial hair is a no no with any female. Also the blue eyed Eastern European girls are league's ahead in the looks department I think not that matter's. Actually no it probably does.

Actually R, that's one generalised observation I would agree with. It's much rarer going the other way. In other countries I've some experience in there would be more "local" women going out with "foreign" guys. It wouldn't be equal, there'd still be a bias towards the men with "foreign" women, but a lot more equal than here.

To the degree that in quiet moments I pondered this on long winter evenings... The only conclusion I came to was that for people living in say Holland or Italy or wherever in mainland Europe they've had much more admixture from outside and over many more centuries, so they're more used to and open to that. While in Ireland which has been much more homogenous it was seen as unusual and that men in general are more likely to look outside their group/culture than women?

Interestingly population genetics seems to support this. Women's genetic lines are more fluid and less tied to geography compared to men's. They travel more. You can sometimes even see this in Small Town Ireland™. At say 18 the men/women ratio is about the same, but fast forward to say 30 and many more women have left for education or careers beyond the town compared to men. Some have theorised this is a reason why women tend to be better at acquiring languages on average. Because they traveled more than men this was positively selected for.

Still, this bias towards Irish guys seems to suggest Irish women are indeed nuts and divils for punishment.

You're stereotyping irish women based on your idea that ireland is a religious country yet the eastern european girls you're talking about are probably from much much more religious countries than ireland

Irish women and foreign women are the same on average however,some of the biggest nutters i've met have been eastern european women and i don't mean that in a good way.i find alot of them absolutely boring.same goes for brazilians.there's no substitution for character.irish women have a great attitude and i find them very attractive.the soundest european women i've met are the french followed by the dutch but neither are as easy going as the Irish.

I think anyone who uses term Eastern European to describe a personal trait is doing so they can mask they know very little geography. It usually means any woman with a funny accent must be from a country they possibly heard about before but can't find on the map. Anyway it's good they are all the same in Eastern Europe.
