System pressure?

Hi guys, see the pic below. I have a gas boiler that has low pressure and won't kick in. Usually when this happens I loosen the little black knob and I hear water going and the pressure increases. Not this time! I have zero clue as to what the position should be for the two red ones, any help appreciated, otherwise it's a call out, which I don't mind. But if I can get the heat back on as soon as possible, that'd be great!

Ensure that both red round handled valves in the picture are fully open by turning anti-clockwise.

Also, has anybody interfered with the spindle opposite the black knob that you have been using?

No joy. Made sure both red ones we're opened and opened the black one. Nothing happened.
I'm pretty sure no one was at the spindle, as it seems really hard to move in any way.
Been away for a week without the heat on, could it be trapped air anywhere?

Very unlikely to be trapped air. Maybe a faulty valve You might be best getting in a plumber at this stage.

I had the same issue at one stage, I had to give the valve a few taps of a hammer (not too hard) to loosen the valve, and then the water started flowing. I tapped it on the metal part of the valve just above the black knob.

Good idea, just tried it, but still no go. Plumber came and said valve has failed. He's off to get a replacement.

New filling valve needed, all in all €100. Seems reasonable and is now working as expected.
