    Hi,

I am looking for a radio that can use a satellite feed to play the Sat radio channels. I have set up a freeview box before with an old stereo but would like a more simple, modern box.

Can anyone recommend one or where to look?

I have never seen a satellite receiver with speakers internally, which is what you seem to be looking for.

I did use, at one time, an old sat receiver and took the sound out from the SCART connection to an amplifier.
Now I just use any device I can install Kodi on to connect to my backend tuner box, to get TV or Radio.

Bog standard with just numbering display ? For a shed ?

Buy the cheapest sat box you can get which has phono a/v outputs. Freesat V7 for example (slightly bigger than a cigarette pack) about 25 quid on ebay.

Buy a speaker set that has built in amp. Like one of these Theres cheaper out there if you are happy with a single boombox or set of desktop speakers.

You could do it for less than €70.

But would you not be more interested in an internet radio ? All the stations from around the world ? Once you have wifi it will work.

I picked up a Walker box on Adverts for 25 euro for the same reason.Sound quality is vastly superior.

Some people don't have reliable broadband, most can get Satellite connection.

Hence the qualifier "once you have wifi"

Also some people dont know that these devices exist!
