I'm totally new and lost with this whole self-employed experience. I'm trying to register online with revenue. Don't know way I'm registering for 1. Income tax or 2. VAT... All help would be gratefully accepted

Go visit an accountant. Pay a few quid now and save yourself a load of confusion!

Or phone Revenue and ask to be put through to the Registrations section. They will let you know what taxheads you need to be registered under, and when you are required to make returns and payments etc.
