Hi all. My brother has a faulty vodafone modem. Lit up like a xmas tree. Vodafone are looking to tie him into a new contract for a replacement one. Hes served out of the local cab in the estate. I have a spare eir f2000 modem and i was wondering does anyone have a step by step guide to configure it to work off vodafones service.

    Cheers

    Steve

Definitely doable. Log into the F2000 on http://192.168.1.254, go to Internet and then click Edit under either ADSL PVC-1 (for a non-fibre connection) or VDSL WAN-1 for (a VDSL "fibre" connection). Change the connection type to IP Routing [PPP] and enter vodafone@vodafone.ie for the "Internet account" and broadband as the "Internet password" in the PPP Information section. Save changes, should come straight up.
